Modernizing The Digital Instruction-Manual Process With BookShout

I've lived through three eras of instruction manuals for physical products. The first stage saw every product come with a detailed physical instruction book. My experience with that was that males threw the book out and tried to figure it out for themselves, while females (or the ones I've known, anyway) dutifully read the instructions. Survey data backs this up - according to a study by Ronseal, six out of 10 males never read an instruction manual before using a new product. The second stage of the instructional manual history was when manufacturers begun to include links to web-based instruction manuals in with their products - this certainly reduced their cost to deliver, but wasn't a particularly good user experience.
