Shortly before he died, Steve Jobs told biographer Walter Isaacson that he had “finally cracked it,” meaning the perfect television user interface. Today, four years later, Apple realized Job’s vision, announcing the fourth generation of its Apple TV. While the Apple TV wants to be the only device you need in your living room, it is likely to remain just one of many boxes in the tangle of wires behind your TV.
