Shanghai Start-up Sets an Eco-Friendly Model for China's Clothing Wholesalers

The largest mass fashion market in the world, China’s clothing and apparel sectors are thriving. We already know that the country is the world’s primary manufacturing hub, currently producing more than 50 percent of the world’s fabric – some 80 billion meters a year – according to a report by the Natural Resources Defense Council published last year. But there’s also a small but growing cluster of young designers, labels and apparel manufacturing enterprises that are embracing a more ethical business model, making sustainable fashion the foundation for their business.
