The Wall Street Journal: Google, Facebook to lay high-speed internet cable from L.A. to Hong Kong
Facebook Inc. and Google owner Alphabet Inc. will join with a little-known Chinese company to lay an ultrafast internet cable between Los Angeles and Hong Kong, the latest sign of its U.S. backers' insatiable appetite for bandwidth.
