Will Amazon's Ear Biometrics Put Users In Jeopardy?

Years ago I was working for a defense contractor in the US. While I was there I got work on all manner of interesting projects and I would be asked to consult on some interesting things. One such example of this is that we had some folks in the office from a branch of the US military. They were in our offices to talk with us about a new technology that they were rather proud of and wanted us to give them a third party blessing. This technology was an early iteration of a retina scanner.
