How Tesla's Site, App And Twitter Feeds Were Attacked Via AT&T

Tesla offers an explanation for why its Twitter feed, website and Model S app were affected by an attack on its systems. It claims AT&T and Network Solutions were duped by the hackers, who could have done a lot more damage if they'd chosen to spread malware rather than carry out an elaborate prank.
